The Law and Order Committee of the 25th Navajo Nation Council announces public hearings to evaluate the probationary performances of the following:
Honorable Judge Letitia Stover, Friday, August 9, 2024, at 9 a.m., Kayenta District Court
Honorable Judge Victor Clyde, Friday, August 16, 2024, 9 a.m., Navajo Nation Council Chamber
Honorable Judge Malcolm Laughing, Friday, August 23, 2024, at 9 a.m., Ramah District Court
Pursuant to the Hearings Rules, members of the general public who want to participate in the hearing shall submit written testimony to the Law and Order Committee Chairperson in care of the Legislative Advisor to the Law and Order Committee not less than five working days prior to the hearing.

July 16, 2024: Chief Justice JoAnn B. Jayne provided the Judicial Branch’s quarterly report for Fiscal Year 2024 Third Quarter to the Navajo Nation Council on the first day of the summer session July 15, 2024. The Chief Justice highlighted the work of the judicial districts and programs from the previous quarter, which runs April 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024. Read the press release. July 12, 2024: The Fiscal Year 2024 Third Quarterly Report of the Judicial Branch of the Navajo Nation is available through this link.

April 19, 2024: During her report to the Navajo Nation Council on Monday, April 15, 2024, Chief Justice JoAnn B. Jayne announced two new initiatives by the Hashkééjí Nahat’á (Judicial Branch), including a judicial law clerkship program and an internship and externship program. The Branch is currently seeking applicants for both programs. Read more. April 2, 2020: Most Navajo Nation District Courts are accepting credit card payments for civil traffic fines through telephone. These payments can also be made by money order. Payments for other fines and fees must be made by money order. Window Rock Court, To’hajiilee Court and Alamo are only accepting money orders at this time until further notice. If you have any questions, please call the court.
