Judicial Branch Human Resources Application Process
To apply for a vacant position, please complete a Judicial Branch employment application.
All applications MUST be submitted to the Navajo Nation Judicial Branch Human Resources on or BEFORE 5:00 p.m. on the position's specified closing date. Applications are accepted via email to applyJBHR@navajo-nsn.gov or by fax to (928) 871-6862. Before emailing or faxing, ensure you have signed your application as an actual signature is required.
The following supporting documents are also required to be submitted with application:
- Letter of Interest, Resume with References
- Certificate of Navajo Indian Blood (CNIB) to receive Navajo Preference.
- Copy of HS Diploma / GED Certificate
- Copies of college/university transcripts and degree(s) to receive credit for higher education.
- Certifications (i.e. First Aid, CPR, etc.)
- Copy of Social Security Card
- Copy of Valid State Driver’s License & Driver License Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), which must be submitted each time you apply. The MVR must be dated within ten (10) days from the date of application submittal.
- (A Non-Navajo Spouse) is eligible to receive Navajo preference under the NPEA (Navajo Preference in Employment Act). To receive Non-Navajo Spouse Preference, the following supporting documents are required to accompany the Navajo Nation Judicial Branch employment application: Proof of marriage by a marriage license, proof of residency and spouse’s Certificate of Navajo Indian Blood (CNIB).
Veterans Preference
- In order to receive Veteran’s Preference, a Form DD214 and/or DD215 and Application for Veterans Preference must be attached.
Appeals
- Applicants who have been deemed not qualified for a position may submit a written appeal to the Human Resources Director within ten (10) working days from the date of the non-qualified notice.
- No additional information, other than that contained in the original application (e.g., resume, degrees, transcripts, licensure, etc.) will be considered in the appeal for re-evaluation.
- Any negative finding of documents not attached to the original application will not be considered in the appeal process.
Notice
- All applications for employment shall be submitted on the required Judicial Branch of the Navajo Nation Application for Employment.
- Criminal Background Investigations and Checks are required for all positions within the Judicial Branch and are a condition of employment.
- All applications submitted become the property of the Judicial Branch Human Resources and will not be returned.
- Ensure application(s) is/are complete, signed and the required documents are included at the time of submission.
- See Resume* on the application is unacceptable and will result in an incomplete application.
