The Shiprock District Court building in Shiprock, N.M., is closed beginning Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 1 p.m., through Friday, November 4, 2022, at 5 p.m. Court services will continue to be provided during the building closure.

 

Scheduled court hearings for Thursday after 1 p.m. and Friday will be continued and rescheduled.

 

Telephone messages may be left with the Aneth District Court at (435) 651-3545 or by email at anethcourt@navajo-nsn.gov.

 

The Court may be contacted by email at nnsrcourt@navajo-nsn.gov. The mailing address is P.O. Box 1168, Shiprock, N.M. 87420.

 

Petitions for Protection Orders are to be emailed to the Aneth District Court at anethcourt@navajo-nsn.gov.  All other filings and/or mail for the Shiprock District Court may be emailed to nnsrcourt@navajo-nsn.gov or mailed via US Postal Service.

 

The Navajo Nation uses a sender verification system to eliminate spam, bulk, and malicious emails. If you email the courts from a non-Navajo Nation email address, make sure to verify your email address by following the instructions sent back to you by email. This will allow for your email to go through to the intended recipient.

 

To pay a fine or fee, mail a money order payable to the “Navajo Nation” to the mailing address. Include citation/court document and contact information. All fines or fees sent will be processed as received on the postmarked date.
