PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM KAYENTA JUDICIAL DISTRICT
To protect the public and staff during the COVID-19 public health and emergency, all exterior doors to the Kayenta District Court will be locked at all times. However, the Court is accepting all filings and holding hearings for essential cases.
Hearings are being held telephonically for the safety of the public and staff. For more information, please contact the court at (928) 697-5541.
All cases that are not deemed essential are continued. Updated notice of hearings will be mailed to listed addresses.
To limit close contact, filing requirements are suspended at this time. Individuals may fax documents to (928) 697-5546; email to nnkycourt@navajo-nsn.gov; or mail to Kayenta Judicial District, P.O. Box 2700, Kayenta, AZ 86033. If any documents are sent by email or fax, please call the court to confirm they were received. There is also a drop box outside the court.
Payments of fines and fees may be mailed to Kayenta Judicial District, P.O. Box 2700, Kayenta, AZ 86033. Payments by credit or debit card for civil traffic fines may be made online through Justice Web at https://www.justiceweb.navajo-nsn.gov/.
An application for protection order and service of process is available on the https://courts.navajo-nsn.gov website. Individuals not able to obtain an application online may contact the Kayenta District Court to have one mailed or faxed. Protection Order applications are also available at the police department.
Kayenta Judicial District serves Chilchinbeto, Dennehotso, Kayenta, Oljato, Naatsis'áán, Shonto, and Ts’ah Bii Kin Chapters.
