PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DZIL YIJIIN JUDICIAL DISTRICT

Dzil Yijiin Judicial District staff will return to the Court building to perform essential services effective June 9, 2020. Physical access to the Dzil Yijiin Judicial Court continues to be restricted pursuant to Administrative Order 26-2020. However, personnel will be readily available to assist the public through contact-free methods. The Court has created and implemented an extensive and aggressive health initiative with a sanitation program to safeguard the parties, personnel and surrounding community.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dzil Yijiin Judicial District Court, will be closed to the public for in person appearances. Please utilize the following contact-free methods in communicating with the Court:

All individuals are encouraged to call or email the Court in lieu of making personal appearances to take care of their court business.

Payments - Contact-free payments for civil traffic fines can be paid by credit or debit card online through Justice Web at https://www.justiceweb.navajo-nsn.gov/. All other payments for fines and fees should be mailed to the Court with money order made payable to the Navajo Nation and include case docket number.

Filings – Filing of pleadings and petitions can be submitted through the designated drop box located next to the main entrance of the Court. Filings can also be submitted to the Court by email, fax, or U.S. Postal Service Mail.

The Dzil Yijiin Judicial District will continue intensified cleaning policies including focus on high-touch, high-traffic areas and the practice of social distancing. These enhanced safety measures have been implemented with highest regard for the well-being of the community and our staff.

The Dzil Yijiin Judicial District thanks the public for patience and cooperation. Moreover, the Court is grateful for Chinle Judicial District’s commitment to maintaining and ensuring consistent branch services to the Dzil Yijiin community.
